The LAUNCH program at Brookfield East High School is an innovative, profession-based learning initiative designed for high school juniors and seniors. It provides students with opportunities to engage in real-world projects and tasks related to their future career interests. Here are some key features of the program:
- Career-Based Learning: Students work on projects in collaboration with local businesses and professionals, gaining hands-on experience in various fields.
- Interdisciplinary Approach: The program integrates core academic subjects like math, science, and English with professional tasks, allowing students to earn credits while exploring their career interests.
- Community Engagement: LAUNCH students often showcase their projects to business professionals and community members, fostering a strong connection between the school and the local community.
Dr. Robert Hall is a dynamic leader and educator currently serving as the Executive Director of Launch. He shared with the Elmbrook Rotary Club his experience over the past 8 years with a program engaged in 300 projects annually providing 233 certifications … dedicated to bridging the gap between education and industry.
Students have prospered and developed critical skills necessary for success in today’s workplace.
Thank you, Dr. Hall, for your leadership in providing Elmbrook and Wauwatosa District students this great opportunity and path to a future of critical thinking, problem solving, and career success.
